MTG Technical Services, Inc. is a Woman's Business Enterprise (WBE) Project Management Company with engineering, construction and real estate experts on staff.

Our company uses an Integrated Engineering & Construction Team Approach for a "Best Value" solution for our Clients. We provide full "Turn Key" Project Management, Engineering and Construction Services for communication system infrastructure deployment, operations and maintenance. MTG Technical Services, Inc. has nationwide experience in wireless, microwave and fiber system deployment which has formed Broad Industry Partner relationships.

Since its inception in 1993, MTG’s vision of the manifestation of technology in the world has been one of useful and sensitive integration within communities to enhance the lives of all people and future generations.

The rapid expansion of wireless services created the need upon which MTG was founded. Today, MTG provides communication system development, property management and consulting services to public and private industry, government entities and small businesses. We offer qualified expertise for a broad range of established and emerging technologies including AMPS, TDMA, CDMA, GSM, ESMR, LMDS, WCS, CATV, satellite, microwave and paging.

MTG Technical Services, Inc. is an Arizona based, privately held company providing services throughout the country and internationally. We have been the first to launch Personal Communications Services (PCS) in several major markets for our clients, establishing them as leaders in the industry. Our success is derived from a combination of our strategic approach to project management and development of a team environment with our clients. MTG has developed over 3,500 wireless facilities nationwide.

As an extension of our wireless development services, MTG Technical Services provides long-term communication site management to wireless carriers who have completed the development of their system. In concert with our vision of successful technology integration and being involved in the community, we offer property owner services to help owners’ place and manage communication sites on their property. MTG Technical Services is responsible for the management and leasing of over two hundred site locations.

The MTG, Technical Services Executive Team was created from a variety of experience and backgrounds to provide our clients with superior customer service. It is this diversity that enables us to meet the challenges of the telecommunications industry of today and grow with our clients into the ever-advancing technological future.

 

Rhonda G. McKenzie - Chairman/CEO

In 1993, after 18 years tenure as a telecommunications executive manager, Rhonda G. McKenzie founded McKenzie Telecommunications Group (“MTG”). The company has developed a reputation as a premier communications consulting and a “Turn Key” telecommunications system development firm. Ms. McKenzie built MTG from a “start-up” company to a multi-million dollar corporation.

Ms. McKenzie’s extensive background in telecommunications was developed through years of experience with some of the industry’s largest players. She began her career in the AT&T Management Development Program. She was trained by Bell Labs to design and manage Outside Plant and Central Office facilities. After 13 years with the landline company, she moved on to the “wireless” segment of the industry. In 1987 she was recruited as Director of Real Estate/Construction for LA CELLULAR. Then, in 1991 she was recruited by Bell Atlantic Metro Mobile’s as the Director of Network Engineering and Operations. She was responsible for the design, development and management of the Arizona, New Mexico and El Paso cellular networks.

Ms. McKenzie holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Arizona. In 1998 she was awarded an Entrepreneurial Fellowship. She graduated from the Arizona State University Executive MBA program in May 1999, and taught Master's students at ASU.

Ms. McKenzie is the recipient of the 1997 Arizona Small Business of the Year Award. She also earned the prestigious 1996 Ernst & Young Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year Award. She is a true entrepreneur, diversifying MTG to keep up with the rapidly changing field of telecommunications through LMDS/PCS License ownership, national consulting contracts and public speaking engagements.

 

G.Dale Gray President/COO

As the co-founder of MTG Technical Services, Inc., Mr. Gray and MTG are actively involved with the development of several large communication systems. Mr. Gray is personally involved in several APCO 25 public safety radio systems and commercial cellular systems including large government agencies which involve the FBI-IWN project, Department of Homeland Security – Coast Guard Rescue 21 nationwide deployment. On the Rescue 21, Dale Gray is one of four key personnel defined in the contract with the Department of Homeland Security. Mr. Gray, as an industry leader in radio system deployment, has been an invited guest speaker at several national conventions regarding the design and implementation of secure interoperable government radio system deployments.

Since 1976, Mr. Gray has focused primarily on engineering, construction and project management in 26 states, and for more than 20 associated government agencies. His international expertise has included multiple projects in Germany, Russia, Armenia and Costa Rica. Through this experience, Mr. Gray has been able to contribute to the design and construction of more than 3,000 telecommunications sites, microwave systems and over 3,500 miles of fiber optic systems nationwide.

Mr. Gray has a Bachelor of Science in Geology from Northern Arizona University. He is a Registered Geologist in Arizona and California, and is a registered Geophysicist and Environmental Assessor in the State of California. Mr. Gray has his General Contractor’s license as a qualified party in 4 states and is the Principal Responsible Person for attaining the licenses for MTG Technical Services, Inc.

 

 George A. Jackson - Vice President/Construction

Since 1967, George has been an integral part of the communication industry’s growth.  His knowledge stemmed from hands-on training, starting as a crew member and advancing through the ranks has expedited his ascension to becoming an international construction supervisor and marketing executive.

 After assessing the state of the industry in 1979, George founded TWR Telecom, Inc. to offer a more efficient level of service based on his extensive experience in all aspects of tower related construction/maintenance.  As Owner/CEO of TWR Telecom he brought a unique insight to project management.  His leadership ability and expertise earned him the respect of his peers.  His reputation, based on integrity and determination provided him with one of the most respected tower companies in the country.  His market awareness and business savvy helped him diversify the company’s base to meet customer demands by adding TWR Lighting, TWR Communications, Rooker Tower Company, and Specialty Drilling.   These companies were all managed by Mr. Jackson until he sold them in 1999.

 From 1999 until present George has stayed affiliated and updated in the communication industry through his TWR Telecom S.A. de C.V. company in Mexico.  In 2001, Mr. Jackson acquired Specialty Drilling, Ltd, and then in 2004 he began again by forming Quality Tower Services, Ltd. and Specialty Tower Lighting, Ltd., once again determined to bring higher quality and stronger safety standards to the industry.

George is an integral part of the MTG Team.  With his vast knowledge, he helps the team in numerous aspects of Project Management, Construction, and overall end result.

Gary Hamilton – Project Manager/Phoenix

Gary, a Phoenix resident for the past ten years, has twenty years experience in all phases of wireless telecommunications site development.  Gary has done Project Management for site development all over the United States, but mainly in California, Hawaii, and Arizona.  His primary experience has been in design, A&E management, and construction management.  He has done work for GTE Mobilnet, Verizon, Sprint PCS, and Nextel, among others and has had his own company since 1999.  He currently holds an AZ Commercial General Contractor's License.

 

Ted J. McKenzie - Site Acquistion/Zoning Lead

Ted has worked in the Telecommunications Industry since 1995. That year, Ted conducted market research for TelecomWrapUp, LLC for PCS licenses in the C-Block of the FCC Auctions. In 1996, Ted was contracted by AirCom Consultants, Inc. to help participate in the LMDS auctions, helping the corporation successfully bid and win five BTA licenses. In 2000, he worked for VelociTel Broadband, Inc. as a college intern assisting with an LMDS build out in Southern Arizona.

Ted has worked with various carriers dealing with all aspects site acquisition and zoning and BTA market research. He has developed a vast knowledge of zoning and real estate acquisition. In 2003, Ted worked with AT&T Wireless, before they were acquired by Cingular Wireless, to help consolidate the 850 Overlay Project in the San Francisco/Bay Area, as well as the Phoenix Metropolitan Upgrade. Ted currently oversees the projects in the Arizona & California Markets.

Ted has a Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies from the Arizona State University and expects to complete his MBA at ASU.
